Full Speed Crash
By Mike Defendant
Asleep at the wheel for miles. Auto pilot, faking my smiles. We are the living dead. blurred memories inside of my head. Running through the red lights.forward to nothing, just more restless nights. Full speed crash? I'll be OK. I brace myself for impact at the start of every day.
I'll wipe the blood from my eyes and continue to mourn. The ways of this world and my clothes that are torn. I've done it again, I'm going this way, but the road leads to nowhere and that's where I stay. The nothingness weighs down on me, chained to these emotions, they will not let me free. I beg for mercy but nobody hears. I'm left alone, just me and my fears.
