October

By: Mike Defendant

A path lit up by Jack 'o lantern grins

the spookiest season I hope never ends.

The coldest chill of the October breeze

Colors are changing, look at the trees!

The leaves fall and cover the ground.

summer is over we made it back around.

This is my favorite time of all year.

Gather your friends its time that we cheer.

We raise a toast for those that have passed on.

We will never forget you, no matter how long you're gone.

Times aren't the same but we're learning to cope,

with losing our family and losing our hope.

It feels so different every time around

There seems to be a missing piece never to be found.

We will carry on, no matter what the case.

like ghost we roam the streets at night, a smile on our face.

Every house is haunted every night is halloween,

if you step inside with me you'll see just what I mean.

Check under every bed and in every closet too.

There is something waiting here in the dark for you.

Drain the blood and fill the cup, the sacrifice is made.

Understand the devil's toll is one that must be paid.

Black cats cross you every where you turn.

Free the witches from the stakes that they plan to burn.

In the far far distance you can hear a howl

That's just the werewolves ready to prowl.

This month of horror is something to see,

The fear that is burning inside you and me.

Every grave is empty, the dead are alive.

You can stay with me and we will survive.

Stay friends with the ghouls and you'll be ok

October forever, long live this day.
