"When The Sun Goes To Bed"

By Mike Defendant (2-14-22)

When the sun goes to bed, when the sun goes to bed.

The world belongs to criminals and also to the dead.

When the sun starts to snore, when the sun starts to snore.

You better clutch your crucifix you better lock your door.

When the stars shine bright, when the stars shine bright.

You better learn to run if you don't know how to fight.

When the darkness falls, when the darkness falls.

You can yell for anyone but no one hears your calls.

When you're locked in your home, when you're locked in your home.

You are locked where all the demons and all the monsters roam.

When you can't get away, when you can't get away.

There's nothing here and no one, and you gotta stay.

When the wind gets cold, when the wind gets cold.

You shiver and struggle but you never fold.

When you do get away, when you do get away.

You've "been there before" that's what you will say.
