"Peaceful protest in a pipe bomb shell"
by Mike Defendant
He's heading to New Mexico, his friends will wonder "Where'd he go?", "Is this a joke?" "Why'd he leave?" Social pressure! Anxiety! I don't know but I understand why. Its easier to give up and lay down and die, than confront these demons face to face when you always feel like a waste of space.
For his loved ones he'll feel remorse but every action takes too much force. The weight of the world is crashing down and there's not enough energy to turn it all around. The passions gone and he's lost his buzz, nothings ever gonna be the way that it was. This version of "normal" is something that's new, its nothing compared to what he's scared he'll go through.
He's a peaceful protest in a pipe bomb shell, his exterior's intimidating but he means well. He takes each day with a passing glance, hopeful but waiting for a second chance. When it never came, it left him waiting too long. Worried that he's gone too far, this time it went wrong. He's on his own path, but its covered in ice, he always slides back so every step he takes twice.
He's running fast now into the light, visions of freedom and a future so bright. The pain subsides, the sadness is lifted, he took his own life but he left himself gifted. Rest in peace friend, I've said this before. Wish I could have saw it coming, wish I could have done more. I hate it had to go this route, but thats just where goes, nothing can decide but fate and no one ever knows.
