I am super happy that I had the chance to ask some questions to my friend and Bingo//Poetry co host, Kurt. Known in the Drag community as "Crystal Beth". Kurt throws down and its always a good time at every event. Outside of Drag, Kurt hosts Kareoke at a couple of bars in Springfield! Catch him Fridays at Stone Crow!

Q. How old were you when you decided to become a Drag queen?

A.i was 44, I moved to Springfield a year before that, and met a couple of my friends that do drag here in town. 

Q.When was your first live performance? Where was it?

A. 2021 at Why Not III junior invited me to be on stage there. 

Q. What are some of your favorite places to perform?

A. The most fun I have ever had on stage was at Walden’s corner pub. 

Great inviting family setting there. 

Q. What are some of your favorite songs to perform?

A. American horror story by Snow Wife, and dark horse by Katy Perry. 

Q. When is your next show? 

A. Haven’t had time to book anything rn. 

Q. How do you prepare for a performance? 

A.lots of singing and dancing in front of a mirror, for weeks. While coming up with some kind of costume to wear, then make or buy. 

Q. What's it like being on stage? 

A.it’s a thrill and terrifying at the same time, fun yet a bit painful too.

Q. Do you have any advice for anyone looking to start performing Drag? 

A Be yourself like anything else you try, nothing ventured nothing gained. 

Q. What's your favorite local restaurant?

A.i haven’t been to any restaurants around this area, I have only hit the drive throughs occasionally. However I have heard good things about them. 

Q. What other local Drag queens should people check out? 

A. I would say that would have to be my friends Delta Star and Harley Race. Delta can be a blast on stage, she has me rolling on the floor at times.
